Amber Chase is a Calgary-based multidisciplinary artist working in acrylic painting and pottery. Her practice is rooted in emotional expression, intuitive creation, and visual storytelling, often exploring themes of vulnerability, resilience, connection, and self-discovery.

Working primarily with bold colour palettes, graphic compositions, and symbolic imagery, Amber uses painting as a way to translate complex emotions that often exist beyond language. Anatomical hearts have become a recurring subject in her work, serving as vessels for experiences that are deeply felt but difficult to articulate.

Amber's artistic path has been shaped by an interdisciplinary background in fine art, film production, and design. She studied at the Alberta College of Art + Design (now Alberta University of the Arts) and Vancouver Film School before pursuing a career in the film industry as a set designer and producer. Her credits include work on “Bong of the Dead” and “Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore”, experiences that continue to influence her approach to visual storytelling.

Alongside her painting practice, Amber creates pottery that embraces fluidity, presence, and instinct. Together, her work reflects a balance between intention and surrender - between expressing what is difficult to say and simply allowing creativity to exist.
